Job Summary

With regular direction by the Homestay Manager and/or Principal, the Homestay Facilitator supports the efficient operation of the Homestay Program and fosters community engagement with international student initiatives. They work cooperatively with other employees, students, agents, parents, and the public. The role requires regular travel throughout the district and the ability to respond quickly to student and host family concerns.Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvides guidance and support to international students.Provides recruitment, assessment, and support of host and potential homestay families for the District's International Student Program, ensuring all required documentation is completed (criminal record checks, reference checks, accuracy of host family profile).Conducts regular checkins and ongoing monitoring of homestay placements through facetoface visits, telephone contact, and written communications.Liaises with host families, international ...
