Assist the Volunteer Management Branch in managing personnel who will be supporting implementation of a national sustainability initiative.

The initiative aims to:

• Increase the recycling rate of beverage containers and reduce the amount of waste disposed of as well as carbon emissions.
• Raise consumer awareness on the importance of recycling and encourage good recycling practices.

Under this initiative, a refundable deposit applies to selected pre-packaged beverages. Members of the public may return eligible containers at designated return points to receive their deposit refund.
