Job Summary
The primary role of the accountant is to support the functional activities in accounting and reporting. Activities include receivables and payable accounting reconciliations, general ledger, fixed assets, inventory and cash and banking accounting. The accountant performs day‑to‑day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable and accounts payable data.
Responsibilities
- Verify invoices with LPO, work order, site reports and prepare and issue payments to suppliers.
- Process accounting receivables and incoming payments.
- Perform bank account reconciliations, vendor reconciliations and customer account reconciliations regularly.
- Review bank statements.
- Review payroll on a monthly basis; prepare payment and distribution of staff salaries; review calculation of end‑of‑service, leave salary and airline tickets.
