Responsibilities

The Activities Assistant is responsible for assisting with the implementation of activities for participants that are tailored to the needs and limitations of the frail and elderly.

• Assists with the development and implementation of recreational activities that meet the interests, needs and capabilities of participants under the supervision of Recreation Therapist.
• Assesses and re-assesses participants' functional status in relationship to participation in recreational activities, in collaboration with the Recreation Therapist.
• Assists participants with non-skilled activities of daily living.
• Leads and/or assists in large groups, small groups 1:1's and individual activities such as exercise, arts and crafts, games and current events. Assists in the organizing of special events and outings, in collaboration with the Recre...
