About this job

As a Consultant in Acute Medicine, you will: Lead the diagnosis and clinical management of patients presenting to the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit at Southmead Hospital.

Provide regular ward rounds and clinical support to patients, alongside the junior medical team, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Collaborate closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure a cohesive, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Participate fully in the Acute Medicine rota, including early and late shifts, weekend cover (1 in 8 for 1 WTE), and Same Day Emergency Care shifts.
