Adult SWAT Nurse

Job Summary:
The Adult SWAT Nurse provides advanced professional nursing care to patients/families and the community by utilizing the nursing process. The Adult SWAT Nurse oversees the work of the registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, ancillary staff and students assigned to the unit. Specifically, the Adult SWAT Nurse performs as an experienced registered critical care nurse whose advanced knowledge and skill in ACLS, Resuscitation, and in the assessment and delivery of nursing care, provide the basis for the clinical leadership role. The Adult SWAT Nurse is familiar with American Heart Association's (AHA) Get With The Guidelines- Resuscitation Program and is expert in BLS and ACLS algorithms, responding to all adult codes and rapid responses as an intricate, vital member of both teams.
