Opportunity Description
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical assessment of patients with a range of haematological and oncological disorders and initiate medical treatment or escalation as required
- Document clear medical histories and treatments at all times to a standard suitable for medico-legal scrutiny
- Investigate and arrange investigations for patients as clinically indicated and as per local policy
- Accurately order and interpret a range of investigations, with reference to local and national protocols and guidelines. Make treatment decisions based on the interpretation and escalate to Haem SHO/SpR/Consultant if any concerns
- Administer medications under Patient Group Directives or prescribe within the individual's scope of practice if a Qualified Independent Non Medical prescriber
- Non medical authorization of appropriate blood products once undertaken local training
