Advanced Practice Provider

Position Overview: The Trauma and Emergency General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers direct patient care consistent with the APP’s education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with the attending Trauma and Emergency General Surgery physicians. This includes the diagnosis, management, and referral of health care issues specific to Trauma and Emergency General Surgery (EGS). The APP will complete pre- and post-surgical management and recognize options for non-surgical management of trauma, EGS, and critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with Trauma/EGS attending physicians, general surgery residents, and APPs to complete daily rounds on the trauma and surgical floors and in the intensive care unit (ICU).
