The past couple of years have proven that Supply Chains of today are subject to exponentially increasing volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA); resulting in a few major and a large amount of minor disruptions all around the globe. On the flip side, technological advancements in the area of big data, artificial intelligence (a.o. machine learning), cloud, etc. have shown to hold potential to significantly increase the capabilities of a company to weather these storms, amongst others in the space of supply chain & network operations.
