Summary This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, position description D1366000 target grade to D1525000, within the 177th AMXS of the New Jersey National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. Its primary purpose is to inspect, repair, modify, and service aircraft systems, components, and assemblies, both on- and off-aircraft. Responsibilities As an AIRCRAFT MECHANIC, WG-8852-10/12, you will: Advanced Maintenance: Performs major, non-routine repairs on critical aircraft systems such as flight controls, landing gear, and canopies. This includes maintenance that is beyond the capability of other, lower-graded maintenance units. Specialized Equipment: Utilizes a wide variety of technical and precision tools like micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, and weight/balance testers to overhaul, rig, and install major airframe components.
