The primary purpose of this position is: Responsible for performing landing zone safety (LZSO), drop zone safety (DZSO), and drop zone controller (DZC) duties. Ensures that Air Mobility Command and DoD-wide mission objectives are maintained to combat ready mission status. Responsibilities Executes Assault Zone Support Program Planning, Operations, and Related Training Requirements. Tailors and implements assault zone plans and operations. Assesses efficiency and effectiveness of Landing/Drop Zone operations and plans. Serves as focal point for coordination of all logistical support and qualification requirements.
