Job Description:

Science tutors will work one-on-one or in small groups with undergraduate students. Tutors are responsible for supporting students’ success by creating an optimum learning environment by leading students to a greater understanding of course materials.This position would be available on both the Toledo and Findlay campuses, please indicate in the application questions which campus you would be able to teach at.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of student-centered tutoring strategies.

Must be knowledgeable in the tutoring discipline. Experience tutoring and/or teaching at the college level is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills and computer skills are necessary.

Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, and work independently. Be able to analyze student’s needs and explain materials in a variety of ways to build confidence and comprehension.
