Apprentice Associate Respiratory Physiologist

Overview

Apprentice Associate Practitioner in Respiratory Physiology at Aintree University Hospital (UHL Group). Please note this is an apprentice post paid at Annex 21 until qualification is obtained. The respiratory lab is one of the largest and well‑equipped laboratories in the North West, performing a wide range of respiratory physiology investigations and also contributing to research projects and clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Support senior respiratory physiologists in performing spirometry, reversibility testing, lung volumes and TLCO.
• Assist with cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), both diagnostic and pre‑operative.
• Run independent spirometry clinics at local health centres.
• Perform full respiratory studies unsupervised within the main respiratory lab.
• Carry out spirometry at various locations around North Merseyside.
