Opportunity Description
Summary The primary purpose of this position is to work on the documentation, preservation, restoration, rehabilitation, and reconstruction of archeological resources for the purpose of historic preservation as well as public display, exhibit, and/or access. The incumbent serves as a cultural resources specialist for one or more parks where archeological resources comprise a major part of the park story. Responsibilities 1. Provides administrative and technical supervision for the park's Stabilization Program. Recruits, trains, evaluates, and directs employees, ensures workplace safety and equal opportunity practices, handles discipline, and monitors project budgets, schedules, and staff performance. 2. Plans, develops, and manages sensitive and complex archeological preservation projects.
