ASSISTANT COOK

We are looking for Assistant Cooks to work for our busy restaurant. Candidates must pass a background check and be physically fit. New Zealand citizens or residents will receive preference. This full‑time permanent role is based in Auckland and requires 32 to 46 hours per week. The minimum wage is $27.00 per hour with a maximum of $32.00 per hour, and overtime is paid at one and a half times the normal rate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in taking food orders, preparing and serving meals, and receiving payments from customers.
• Assist with washing, cutting, measuring, and mixing ingredients for cooking.
• Support preparation and cooking of bulk foods.
• Assist with preparing, seasoning, and cooking menu items in the dining area, buffet, and catering services.
• Assist in preparing and cooking food to meet special dietary requirements.
• Operate cooking equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves, and deep‑fat fryers.
