ASSISTANT COOK (Korean Restaurant)

Job Description & Requirements
Roles and Responsibilities:
. Assist the Head Cook with menu planning and preparation of meals.
. Prepare ingredients for cooking, such as cutting meat or chopping vegetables.
. Cooking dishes as directed by the Head Cook.
. Assist in stocking the pantry with supplies and monitoring inventory levels.
. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times.
. Assist with cleaning dishes and equipment as needed.
. Follow all health and safety guidelines in the kitchen.
Requirements:
. Prior experience working in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
. A keen sense of taste and smell to identify ingredients and ensure that the dishes prepared conform to recipes and standards.
. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
. Ability to lift heavy loads and stand for extended periods of time.
. Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment operation, cleaning and maintenance.e Team.
