Assistant Director, Communications

Position Summary

In partnership with the Director of Communications, develop a unified communications strategy for NYU Gallatin’s media channels, with a large focus on social media. Strategize, develop, produce, and disseminate communications through social media, print, and digital mediums, including those currently used and those that are emergent in the industry and accessible for Gallatin use. Manage and produce The Weekly newsletter. Support and work toward editorial ownership of executive communications. Collaborate with the Events team to strategize and produce event promotion and support real-time event marketing. Provide editorial and design support of all communications within Gallatin. Help ensure quality and consistency—focusing on news, bios, events, and review of all internal and external text about Gallatin for multiple audiences.
