**Job Responsibilities**
The **Assistant Fire Chief of Operations** is responsible for the operational readiness and functionality of the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) department, ensuring compliance with fire prevention standards, safety protocols, and mission requirements. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Providing leadership and management for fire department operations on the island of Diego Garcia, promoting a safe and effective firefighting, rescue, and emergency response team.
+ Leading fire prevention efforts, including inspections, compliance assessments, and community outreach activities to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.
