Assistant Grounds Superintendent (Golf)

Summary This position is located at Casa Linda Golf Course, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department, Naval Air Station, Jacksonville, FL. The purpose of this position is to assist the Golf Course Superintendent in the maintenance of the golf course, which includes the greens, tees, fairways, roughs, irrigation systems and grounds maintenance duties of all MWR facilities and grounds maintenance equipment. Incumbent assists with upkeep of a 27-hole golf course consisting of 275 acres. Responsibilities (Duties include but are not limited to): Assists the Golf Course Superintendent in making determinations in the use of pesticides, chemicals, fertilizer and grass seed needed for the upkeep of an 27 hole Golf Course which includes greens, tees, fairways, roughs, practice range, equipment maintenance building, equipment storage building, chemical storage and mixing building, irrigation system, pump house and ponds within the confines of the Golf Course.
