Assistant Professor in Invertebrate Biology

Job Description

The Department of Biology at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applicants for a full-time Assistant Professor in Biology Invertebrates, starting Fall 2026 (or as soon as possible). The successful candidate is expected to establish an independent, externally funded research program in invertebrate biology with good experience in molecular aspects and contribute effectively to the Department's teaching, research and service missions. Research areas of interest may include, but are not limited to:

• Invertebrate zoology
• Marine or freshwater invertebrates
• Invertebrate physiology or ecology
• Biodiversity, systematics, or evolution of invertebrates
• Applied invertebrate biology relevant to arid or regional ecosystems
