Opportunity Description
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the primary phase to help students access the curriculum and make progress in their academic, social, emotional and personal development. This is achieved through effective classroom support, reinforcement of learning activities, and assisting with the implementation of teaching and support strategies directed by the Teacher and Therapy and Pastoral Care (TPC) team.
The role requires contributing to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student engagement, confidence and independence. The Assistant Teacher is expected to support the diverse needs of students, including neurodivergent learners, while promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing and participation both within and beyond the classroom.
