Old Dominion University ( ODU ) invites applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of AI & Network and Communications Security to begin in Fall 2026. The position is in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering ( ECE ) with a joint appointment with the School of Cybersecurity. This is a tenure-track appointment that is part of a multiple-position hiring initiative for Trustworthy AI. This cluster hire is part of ODU’s Centennial Cluster Initiative which supports the expansion of transdisciplinary research efforts by prioritizing the hiring of multiple faculty positions targeting specific research areas.
