Reporting to the Coordinator of Student Services, the Autism Teacher Specialist is responsible for professional development, leadership, and support of programming and services for children and youth with autism spectrum disorder. The Specialist is responsible for the assessment and analysis of student and school needs in this area, for recommending the allocation of related services and supports, and for the monitoring and evaluation of the service delivery model. The Specialist will represent the AVRCE in collaborative endeavors with the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development and partner agencies in related areas.
