Opportunity Description
**Amentum** is seeking an **Automotive Mechanic** to join our team in **Hawthorne, Nevada** to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. As an **Automotive Mechanic** you will maintain pipe/steam systems, to include install, repair, maintain, and replace water/steam lines, valves, radiators, heaters, storage and condensate tanks, steam traps, control valves, fittings, expansion joints and steam pressure systems.
**Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.**
**Typical Responsibilities:**
+ Disassemble and examine parts to determine level of repairs or parts replacement needed. Prepare a checklist of all defects to be repaired and initiate repairs.
+ Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair mechanical issues on various equipment. Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems, perform brake and steering adjustments and conduct DOT inspections.
