The Baggage Handling-Customs Agent ensures the safe, efficient, and accurate loading, unloading, and sorting of passenger luggage while adhering to safety guidelines, operating ground equipment, and working in varying conditions as part of a team.
**WHAT IT’S LIKE TO WORK AS A BAGGAGE HANDLING-CUSTOMS AGENT**
+ Load and unload passenger luggage and cargo on and off aircraft
+ Sort and route baggage to the correct flight and carousel
+ Operate baggage handling equipment such as conveyor belts and trolleys
+ Provide baggage assistance in the customs arrival area
+ Follow all airport and security rules and regulations, including reporting suspicious individuals
+ Follow safety guidelines and procedures while handling baggage
+ Ensure timely delivery of baggage to and from aircraft
