Opportunity Description
Overview
We have two opportunities available for a Dosimetrist to join the Radiotherapy Department. The permanent role is 30 hours per week and the fixed term/secondment role is 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
You will work within the Treatment Planning, Tomotherapy, brachytherapy and mould room areas (as required) as part of a team or independently, providing a highly specialist clinical and technical service.
- Prepare and check treatment plans for patients undergoing radiotherapy in collaboration with physicists and other planning group members.
- Work in the Mould Room, directly with patients, and create individualised immobilisation devices in collaboration with Doctors and Radiographers.
- Participate in clinical development of the department through the introduction of new techniques and the training of others.
