Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse (RN child) Children’s Ambulatory unit.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, children’s nurse who enjoys working within a small team of dedicated staff. This is a permanent Sister/Charge Nurse post on the Children’s Ambulatory Unit (CAU). We require an experienced candidate who is dedicated to advocating for high standards of care to children and young people while in hospital. CAU is located near the Paediatric ED and we work closely with the ED team, in-patient ward and outpatient team.

The Unit consists of two single bays, two cubicles and a waiting area/playroom.

The opening hours are 07:30 – 20:00, 7 days a week. CYP are seen following referral from the ward for intravenous antibiotics, dressings and review following discharge. CYP also come over from Paediatric ED for a period of observation.
