BARISTA (FOOD SERVICE WORKER)

Summary About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Davis Monthan Community Center. This position is Flexible and does not include benefits. Heavy lifting up to 40 pounds, continuous standing, bending, stooping and reaching for long periods of time. Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Prepares specialty beverages in a free-standing specialty coffee operation. Operates a commercial grade espresso machine. Grinds fresh coffee beans. Prepares beverage by adjusting the grind of the beans, dosing the amount of coffee to be used, tamps down the ground coffee in the basket and obtains the desired extraction. Completes non-alcoholic specialty beverages according to customer requests and established recipes. Drinks included by may not be limited to cappuccinos, brewed coffees, lattes, espressos, hot chocolate, frappuccinos, etc. Must select proper ingredients and adjust recipes for customers if requested.
