Gansevoort Hotel in prime Meatpacking District is hiring a P/T Barista for morning shifts in our Hotel Lobby Cafe.

Summary of Position:  Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.

Primary Functions:

· Maintain standards of 5-star, luxury hotel service.

· Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries.

· Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.

· Educates customers by presenting and explaining coffee drink menu

· Prepares and sells coffee beverages by following prescribed preparation techniques for beverages such as macchiato, caffe latte, and cappuccino.

· Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries for coffee bar.
