Position Summary

BCIT’s School of Energy is seeking a temporary, full-time (1.0 FTE) BCGEU Faculty in our Industrial Instrumentation Department. Duties & Responsibilities DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The department currently teaches all four levels of the Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician (Industrial Instrument Mechanic) Apprenticeship program, a two year Industrial Instrumentation Process and Control Technician diploma program, and custom-designed Industry Services training courses for corporate customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instruction to students, preparing and presenting classroom lectures, laboratory projects, and examinations as assigned. The Instructor will also be responsible for upgrading and preparing lesson materials on an ongoing basis, as well as maintaining contact with industry to remain current in the industrial control field.
