Opportunity Description
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing mental health services to patients presenting in the Emergency Department, including crisis/intake assessment and intervention, making appropriate referral for acuity, providing education, discharge planning, acting as a community liaison, offering assistance to family members
Education, License & Cert:
Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred.
Experience:
One year’s experience working in a psychiatric setting, a human service field or a related field.
Essential Functions:
+ Provides evaluations, assessments, crisis intervention and referral for all populations served by the department in the emergency room.
+ Demonstrates the ability to document understandable, comprehensible psychiatric evaluation and progress notes.
+ Responsible discharge planning and arranges follow‐up care and referrals.
