We are seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist for our Bronx Programs.
As a BIS you are expected to assure that the mental health and behavioral needs of the individuals we serve are met. Working with the Interdisciplinary Team, key responsibilities of this full time position working Monday-Friday with flexible hours include:
Developing functional behavioral assessments and support plans using baseline data and ongoing proactive and reactive data Providing individual and group counseling Presenting psychotropic medications and restrictive behavior support plans to the Human Rights Committee Training multi-level staff in the implementation and monitoring of behavior support plans Providing referrals for psychiatric care, psychological evaluations and counseling services Acting as a liaison for mental health services/behavioral problems between and among IDT members, clinics, psychiatrists, hospitals day program...
