Bilingual Claims Counsel / Examiner, Specialty Insurance

BILINGUAL CLAIMS COUNSEL / EXAMINER, SPECIALTY INSURANCE

The Bilingual Claims Counsel/Examiner, reporting directly to the Vice President, Claims Specialty Insurance, will be responsible for management of claims within the Specialty Insurance and Casualty departments.

Responsibilities

• Coverage evaluation.
• Drafting coverage letters and other documents in both French and English.
• Setting claim reserves.
• Communicating with insureds, counsel, brokers, and claimants in both French and English.
• Managing litigation and negotiating settlements.
• Authorizing payments as required.
• Acting as a resource for various business units.
