Biological Scientist/Mathematical Statistician

Summary In this position you will design and evaluate animal health data for adverse animal health events, assess the quality of data collected, interpret analytical results of livestock data and, report analytic findings through discussion, presentation, or written reports/web-based dashboards. Results are communicated to supervisors and/or State, Federal or industry partners to use in policy and decision support. Responsibilities The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity. The duties may include, but are not limited to: Furnishes authoritative expertise to program personnel on study approaches, surveillance designs, sampling methodologies, data collections, modeling, method development, and analysis of animal health and management activities.
