**Job Description**
**General Purpose:**
The Blend Operator is responsible for following all DFA Ingredient Solutions GMP’s and working in a manner consistent with all corporate and regulatory, food safety, and quality and sanitation requirements.
**Job Duties and Responsibilities:**
+ Weighs each ingredient and add to the batch
+ Ensures the product is ready to dry
+ Carries out all QA checks in the mix room
+ Operates the pH meter, refractometer, etc. to keep product within specifications
+ Performs necessary routine cleaning and preventive maintenance
+ Follows established plant operating and cleaning procedures
+ Follows Good Manufacturing Practices
+ Assists with safety analysis and on the job training of new employees
+ Attends educational training seminars as needed (i.e. loss control)
+ Attends and participates in safety meetings
+ Reports unsafe acts, conditions, and accidents immediately to supervisor
