Summary The Marion VA Health Care System is hiring for a Boiler Plant Operator Supervisor position. This position functions as the supervisor for the Boiler Plant Operators and Boiler Plant Equipment Mechanic. Responsibilities The Boiler Plant Operator is responsible for general maintenance and operation of the boiler plant. The incumbent coordinates and establishes regularly scheduled preventive maintenance and repair for boilers, safety devices, pumps and other equipment throughout the boiler plant, as well as prepares the boilers for safety inspections. The work involves a full range of duties required to operate one or more utility systems of extremely large capacity and flexibility, having a large number of components, controls, gauges and auxiliary equipment to coordinate and monitor, which services a variety of specialized work activities that regulates and stops equipment and re-sets temperature and air/steam controls for proper humidity.
