Budget Analyst

Summary About the Position: Incumbent will perform a full range of budgetary duties associated with the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of assigned programs. Responsibilities Communicate budgetary information effectively to present, defend, and provide guidance on financial matters. Resolve budget discrepancies by identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and coordinating with financial staff. Develop comprehensive budgets for assigned programs by reviewing and interpreting guidance from higher-level entities. Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess funding requirements, and support budget formulation. Prepare budget schedules and justifications to support and defend budget requests to senior leaders and higher authorities. Interpret and apply financial regulations and policies to ensure compliance in all budgeting activities.
