Business Assurance Special Pathogen Nurse Educator

Job Summary
The REPSTC Nurse Educator will be involved in the training of Corewell Health team members around the care and treatment of patients on the Special Pathogens Unit at Butterworth Hospital/HDVCH. The Nurse Educator will also train hospital and EMS staff around HHS Region 5 around Identify, Isolate and Inform principles of special pathogen care. This position will require frequent overnight travel for training reimbursed by the grant program. This position is 100% grant funded. As a hybrid role team member trainings are held in person in Grand Rapids.

Essential Functions

+ Oversees orientation, as part of the onboarding process, to ensure that new hire/transfer employees have the knowledge and skill to safely practice independently in their role. The educator develops, coordinates, manages, facilitates, conducts, and evaluates orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
