Opportunity Description

We’re looking for a commercially driven Business Development Manager to generate new business across multiple sectors, with a first-year sales target of £1m. You will focus on identifying the markets where you can win most effectively, build relationships with decision-makers, lead the full sales cycle and work closely with the internal bid team to secure tenders and contract awards.

Key responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify and close new business to achieve a first-year target of £1m.
  • Own the full sales cycle: lead generation, tendering, proposal development, negotiations and mobilisation.
  • Target multiple sectors and develop a focused sector approach aligned to commercial strengths.
  • Collaborate with the dedicated bid team and operations to produce compliant, competitive submissions and ensure smooth mobilisation of wins.
  • Manage client relationships and handover to operations to drive retention and growth.
