Buyer (Direct Material)

Job Objectives:
To contribute to the Materials Planning and Procurement department in operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, driving towards achieving excellence. Be creative and a proactive contributor in the management team for continuous improvement.
Roles And Responsibilities:
To perform materials planning functions:
To procure the right parts/quantities with the required quality, on time to minimize production loss hours / obsolescence and to meet the Master Production Schedule.
To plan and calculate when the purchase order must be made in order to meet production required date.
To forward projection of orders to vendors in order to reduce lead time and production costs by maintaining stock and minimize the inventory cost of the company.
Responsible for selecting and coordinating of vendors from the Approved Vendor List for purchases.
