Description
The Sr. Buyer is responsible for managing relationships with current suppliers as well as cultivating relationships with new suppliers. The Sr. Buyer will manage the company’s spending to reduce costs, enhance profits and improve efficiency. This position will also track supplier performance to unsure quality and timely delivery from suppliers.
Duties and Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, procedures, terms & conditions, purchasing system, etc.
+ Work with the product engineering and quality organizations to develop and define detailed supplier requirements.
+ Locate vendors of materials, equipment, or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
+ Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.
+ Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
