Opportunity Description
JOB SUMMARY AND SCOPE
Under the supervisor of the Imaging Manager, the Sonographer provides quality echocardiogram services to adult patients, inpatient and outpatient. Services and testing are performed within the scope of practice of the Cardiopulmonary Services department and within the licensure guidelines as defined by the State of Maine.
This position will be 4-10 shifts per week split between Machias and Calais as needed.
Requirements
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
+ Credentials: Certified Sonographer - RDCS
+ Education: Associates Degree required in related field.
+ Experience: At least 2 years clinical experience. Preferred.
+ Skills: Current Basic Life Support certification.
+ Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of cardiac anatomy physiology.
+ Abilities: Able to perform echocardiograms independently on adult patients.
