Overview
The cardiac stress technician will work under the direction of the on-site cardiologist, performing various clinical and administrative duties related to nuclear medicine stress testing. This includes but not limited to patient preparation, supervision of exercise and pharmacological stress tests.
Job Details
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Travel between cardiology sites which does nuclear stress testing
+ Preparation of patient for stress testing procedure
+ Assess patient’s vital signs
+ Establish Peripheral Intravenous (IV) access.
+ Set up and monitor patient through 12 lead EKG stress testing including application of 12 lead and rhythm identification and interpretation.
+ Gathers information on patient’s illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy.
