Opportunity Description

The Oklahoma City VA Healthcare System (OCVAHCS) is actively recruiting a board-certified, board-eligible full-time permanent hospital employed Heart Failure Specialist to join our Cardiology department. The Heart Failure Physician is accountable to the Chief of Cardiology Service. The Heart Failure Specialist Cardiologist will provide direct cardiovascular care to an adult population eligible for care at the VA medical center or at any of its subsidiary locations. The cardiologist is responsible for a wide range of duties to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality care. The Cardiologist is responsible for evaluating and treating patients in the designated Cardiology/Heart failure clinic. As the result of a consultation from a PCP, the Cardiologist will complete an initial evaluation with documentation of the history and physical, formulate the plan of care and order entry.
