CARE ASSISTANT, OPERATION THEATRE (CSSS)

Organization and Management

1. Provide basic nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
2. Notify the nursing leaders of any situations that impact the quality of care.
3. Obtain unit report and assignment at the beginning of each shift and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager or Senior Registered Nurse.
4. Daily routine in Operation theatre:
   • Perform thorough cleaning each morning, including sanitizing operating tables, lamps, and others.
   • Inspect supplies and gas cylinders to ensure their safety and guarantee a well‑stocked anesthesia machine.
   • Transport patients from the ward to the induction room and assist until evaluated by an anesthetist.
   • Transport patients to the operating room and assist in safe lifting onto the operating table.
