Care Assistant, Ward 5

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care that aligns with the vision, mission, philosophy, goals, and objectives of the nursing services and the hospital.
• Notify the nursing leaders of any situations that impact the quality of care.
• Obtain ward report and assignment at the beginning of each shift and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Unit Manager or Deputy Unit Manager.
• Daily routine: Conduct regular nursing rounds to assess patients’ needs and communicate with them and their families. Prepare and tidy patients’ beds and linens as needed, organize patients’ belongings and furniture, disinfect beds, furniture, and equipment after use, maintain the ward, store, fridge, and facilities clean and tidy, assist patients with activities of daily living, answer phone calls and relay messages, attend promptly to patients’ call bells, assist nurses in transporting patients to and from the operating theatre, escort patients to other servi...
