Cashier / Patient Account Representative - Business Office (Big Island, Full-Time, 40)

RESPONSIBILITIES

**I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
• Receives and processes payments, deposits, change fund requests and reconciliations, and preparation of cash receipts journal at Queen's North Hawai’i Community Hospital.
• Follows-up on payment with patients on outstanding accounts. Processes correspondence received from payers and patients.
• Responds to patient inquiries promptly and courteously and performs follow up on assigned self pay accounts.

**II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
• Essential: finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking, and lifting usual weight of 10 pounds; pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds of force; reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions; frequent gripping of an object.
