Catering & Events Supervisor

Role

In this key supervisory position, you will coordinate and deliver exceptional catering and event services for conferences and other events on‑and off‑campus. The role is permanent, full‑time, and based at AUT’s City Campus. You will oversee staff, liaise with clients, manage logistics, and ensure the highest standards of food, beverage, and customer service, complying with all relevant food safety and liquor legislation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage catering and events
• Coordinate with internal teams, including chefs, supervisors, and AV staff, to ensure smooth event execution
• Supervise, train, and support a high‑performing team of casual staff
• Maintain accurate records and follow hospitality systems and procedures
• Contribute to a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement
