Diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies, such as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Includes helicopter and aircraft engine specialists Excludes Avionics Technician (49-2091).

Responsibilities

Aircraft Mechanic III performs scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on specific applicable T/M/S aircraft airframe, ordnance, egress/life support system, power plants, corrosion control and painting, and related systems hired to maintain. Perform flight line essential services as directed by daily Flight Schedule. Maintains, repairs and modifies aircraft structures, aircraft ordnance systems, egress systems, structural components and engines of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, aviation ordnance systems, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components, and applies technical knowledge of airframe, ordnance and power plant system...
