Job title: CCTV Operator (Reference R1822) – Location: West Suffolk – Salary: Starting £28,767 per annum (potentially rising to £31,655) – Contract type: Permanent – Working hours: 37 hours per week on a four on / four off rotating rota (including nights, weekends and bank holidays) – Department: CCTV.
About the role
The CCTV Operator will monitor 900+ cameras across local towns, manage alarms, and operate the council’s out‑of‑hours service. The role provides reactive and proactive monitoring to support the council’s crime and disorder reduction commitments, complying with legislation, the CCTV code of practice, and control room procedures.
